My name is Zita Polgardi. I am 13 years old and I was born on July 28, 2013. I am Hungarian and I am from Budapest, Hungary.
What languages do you speak?
My mother tongue is Hungarian, and I can also speak English.
At what age did you start playing tennis?
I started playing tennis when I was seven years old.
Are there other tennis players in your family?
My dad used to play tennis when he was a kid.
In which tennis club do you train?
I play tennis at PG Tennis Club.
What is your coaching team?
My coaches are Gabor Punyi from PG Tennis Club and Zsolt Csendes.
What is your weekly training routine?
My weekly routine includes tennis, physical conditioning, and explosive power training in varying amounts.
What is your greatest strength as a player, and what do you need to improve?
My greatest strength is fighting until the end and wanting to win no matter what. I need to improve my mental balance.
What is your age category and national ranking?
I compete in the 14 & Under category, and I am ranked No. 5 nationally.
What have been your greatest successes so far?
In Hungary, I won the Masters Championship singles title in 2025 in 12 & Under, the Budapest Championship singles and team titles in 2025 in 12 & Under, and the Budapest Championship singles, doubles, and team titles in 2026 in 14 & Under. In Tennis Europe, I played the Summer Cup in 2025, finished third in singles at the Zukunftstiften Junior Open in 2025 in 12 & Under, and finished third in doubles at Terme Ptuj in Slovenia in 2026 in 14 & Under.
In which countries have you played tournaments?
I have played tournaments in Belgium, Slovakia, Austria, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Georgia.

What is your goal for 2026?
My goal for 2026 is to reach the semifinals at the National Championship.
What is your tennis dream?
My tennis dream is to win the Roland-Garros Junior Championship.

I would like to meet Iga Świątek because I like her style of play.
What do you enjoy doing outside of tennis?
Outside of tennis, I enjoy playing ice hockey.
