What is your name, birthdate, nationality, residence?
My name is Yelizaveta Slepchenko. I was born in 2011 in Kazakhstan.
What languages ​​do you speak?
I speak Russian and English.
At what age did you start playing tennis?
I started playing tennis when I was six years old.
Are there other tennis players in your family?
No.
In which tennis club do you train?
I train at Grinvich Tennis Academy in Russia.
Who are your coaches?
My coaches are Bryukhovets Elena Yuryevna, Durmanov Igor Vladimirovich, and Martin Robertovich.
What is your greatest strength as a player, and what do you need to improve?
My strengths in tennis are my endurance and backhand. I want to improve my serve.
What is your age category and national ranking?
My category is 16 and under, and my international ITF ranking is No. 1910. I recently started playing ITF tournaments.
What have been your greatest successes so far?
My greatest achievements so far are reaching No. 3 in my age category in the national ranking and winning my first ITF title.
In which countries have you played tournaments?
I have played tournaments in Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Singapore, Malaysia, the Netherlands, Albania, the United Arab Emirates, and Turkey.
What equipment brands do you currently use (racket, string, shoes, clothing…), and are you sponsored by any of them?
I choose Nike for my clothing and tennis shoes. My racket is a blue Yonex EZONE, and I use Top Spin strings. Unfortunately, I do not currently have any sponsors.
What is your next goal?
My immediate goal is to improve my highest ITF ranking.
What is your tennis dream?
My dream in tennis is probably like every player’s dream: to make it into the main draw of a Grand Slam tournament.
Who is your favorite player and why?
My favorite players are Daniil Medvedev, whom I have admired since childhood and still do today, Novak Djokovic, and Aryna Sabalenka. I also like many other players. I like Daniil Medvedev for his consistency and Aryna Sabalenka for her strength and power.
What do you enjoy doing outside of tennis?
Outside of tennis, I enjoy spending time with my friends.

I would like to dedicate this interview to my mom and my coaches, who always support me, believe in me, and help me become a better player.
