My name is Sophia Kosenko-Melnyk. I am 16 years old and I was born on May 30, 2010. I live in Milton, Ontario, Canada.
What languages do you speak?
I speak Ukrainian, Russian, and English.
At what age did you start playing tennis?
I started playing tennis when I was 5 years old.
Are there other tennis players in your family?
No, I am the only tennis player in my family.
In which tennis club do you train?
I train at Village Glen Tennis Club in Buffalo, New York, and Thornhill Park Tennis Club.
What is your coaching team?
My coach is Rob Gregory from Buffalo, New York.
What is your weekly training routine?
I train three hours per day. I train twice a week in Thornhill and three times a week in Buffalo.
What is your greatest strength as a player, and what do you need to improve?
My greatest strength as a player is my ambition and determination. The area I need to work on the most is my perfectionism.
What is your age category and ranking?
I compete in the U16 category and I am currently ranked No. 20 nationally.
What have been your greatest successes so far?
One of my greatest achievements so far has been reaching the Top 20 national ranking in my age category.

I have played tournaments in the United States and Mexico.

Outside of tennis, I mostly enjoy creating art.
