What is your name, birthdate, nationality, residence?
My name is Roksana Kuchczynska. I am 13 years old and I was born on March 28, 2013. I am Polish and I live in Worksop, Nottinghamshire, England.
What languages do you speak?
I speak Polish and English.
At what age did you start playing tennis?
I started playing tennis when I was nine years old.
Are there other tennis players in your family?
I am the first person in my family to play tennis.
In which tennis clubs do you train?
I currently train at Caunton Lawn Tennis Club and Welbeck Tennis Club.
Who are your coaches?
My coaches are the coaches from Caunton Tennis Club.
What is your greatest strength as a player, and what do you need to improve?
My biggest strengths are my forehand and my first serve. I am currently working on the mental side of my game and attacking on every opportunity I get.
What is your age category?
I compete in the 14U category.
What have been your greatest successes so far?
One of my biggest successes has been finishing runner-up in the County Closed 16U. I also reached five finals during the summer holidays, won Future Player of the Year in 2025, and was nominated for Most Improved Junior of the Year in my county this year.
In which countries have you played tournaments?
I have only played tournaments in England.
What equipment brands do you currently use, and are you sponsored by any of them?
I use Babolat rackets. My shoes are Nike, but I have used Asics in the past, and my clothes are mainly Nike. I do not currently have any sponsors.
What is your next goal?
My next goal is to reach the final of a higher age and level tournament and finally get the win, because I have not had the best results in finals so far this year.
What is your tennis dream?
My dream in tennis is to play at a Grand Slam, enjoy playing, and have fun.
Who is your favorite player and why?
My favorite player is Carlos Alcaraz. I admire how he always plays with a smile and looks like he is enjoying every moment on the court. I also think he is very entertaining to watch, and I love how he plays.
What do you enjoy doing outside of tennis?
Apart from tennis, I enjoy speaking to friends, coloring, baking, and shopping.
Who would you like to dedicate this interview to?
I would like to dedicate this interview to my dad because he is the one who introduced me to tennis. He travels with me to all my tournaments, no matter if I won or lost the last one, and has spent so many hours on court with me.
