What is your name, birthdate, nationality, residence?
My name is Rawson Viktor Bolch. I was born on February 12, 2014. My mother is Serbian and my father is American, so I am American and Serbian. I live in Atlanta, Georgia, and I represent the USA.
What languages ​​do you speak?
I speak three languages: English, Serbian, and French. Je pourrais donner cette interview en français.
At what age did you start playing tennis?
I started playing tennis a few times a week when I was nine years old.
Are there other tennis players in your family?
My dad plays tennis occasionally.
In which tennis club do you train?
I currently train at ITP Training Academy in Atlanta.
Who are your coaches?
My main coach is Chris Clarke, but I also train with Rick Macci in Boca Raton, Florida, and Robert Sabo in Belgrade, Serbia.
What is your greatest strength as a player, and what do you need to improve?
My greatest strengths are my endurance, serve, and forehand. I need to improve my returns.
What is your age category and national ranking?
My age category is Boys 12U, and my current USA national ranking is No. 256. I also have national rankings in 14U and 16U.
What have been your greatest successes so far?
My greatest successes are the daily and weekly improvements in my game, as well as some titles and results, including third place at an L4 tournament in Little Rock, Arkansas, in April this year, and winning two tournaments in 12U and 14U on red clay in Belgrade, Serbia, this summer.
In which countries have you played tournaments?
I have played tournaments in the USA, Spain, and Serbia.
What equipment brands do you currently use (racket, string, shoes, clothing…), and are you sponsored by any of them?
I use HEAD rackets and HEAD accessories, including grips, overgrips, protective tape, tennis bags, headbands, wristbands, and tennis caps. I use TECNIFIBRE strings. My tennis shoes are ASICS and JOMA. For tennis clothing, in addition to HEAD, I use ALL IN MOTION and LACOSTE.
What is your next goal?
My next goal is to prepare well for my first ITF tournaments next year.
What is your tennis dream?
My tennis dream is to become No. 1 on the ATP Tour and break some records.
Who is your favorite player and why?
My favorite player is Novak Djokovic because he is a very inspiring person, full of integrity, and an example of how things get done in tennis. He speaks many languages, has a very good sense of humor, and is a very good father and a good person.
What do you enjoy doing outside of tennis?
Outside of tennis, I love reading books, especially history and science books. I also love skiing, swimming, hanging out with friends, watching basketball games in Atlanta and Belgrade, and collecting and trading FIFA World Cup cards.
Who would you like to dedicate this interview to?
I want to dedicate this interview mostly to my mother, but also to my father, current and past coaches from Tennis Academy of the South, coach Marcelo Feriarra, relatives, friends and to my pet turtle called Big Shell.
