My name is Raisa Roman. I am 10 years old and I was born on June 25, 2016. I am Romanian and I live in Brașov, Romania.
What languages do you speak?
I speak Romanian and English.
At what age did you start playing tennis?
I started playing tennis when I was five years old.
Are there other tennis players in your family?
Yes, my brother also played tennis.
In which tennis club do you train?
I train at Club Sportiv Viitorul Campion.
What is your coaching team?
My coaches are Andrei Călina and Daniel Ungureanu.
What is your weekly training routine?
I train four times a week and work hard to improve every day.
What is your greatest strength as a player, and what do you need to improve?
My greatest strength is my forehand. I work every day to make it even better.
What is your age category and national ranking?
I play in the U10 category, and I am currently ranked No. 18 nationally.
What have been your greatest successes so far?
Reaching the national Top 20 is my biggest achievement so far, and I am very proud of it.
In which countries have you played tournaments?
So far, I have only played tournaments in Romania.
Do you have any sponsors?
Yes, I have one sponsor, a hotel from Brașov, and I am very grateful for their support.
What is your goal for 2026?
My goal for 2026 is to start competing in U12 tournaments and finish the year in the national Top 50 in my new age category.
What is your tennis dream?
My dream is to become a professional tennis player and one day win Roland-Garros.
Which player would you most like to meet and why?
I would love to meet Jannik Sinner, Carlos Alcaraz, Novak Djokovic, Iga Świątek, or Aryna Sabalenka. They all inspire me with their talent and dedication.
What do you enjoy doing outside of tennis?
Outside tennis, I enjoy other sports, listening to music, dancing, and travelling with my family to discover new places.
