My name is Pinmookda Somsri, but everyone calls me Cha-Aim. I am 11 years old and was born on October 24, 2014. I am Thai and I live in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
What languages do you speak?
I speak English.
At what age did you start playing tennis?
I started playing tennis when I was 3 and a half years old.
Are there other tennis players in your family?
Yes, my dad plays tennis.
In which tennis club do you train?
I train at TK Academy Tennis Club.
What is your coaching team?
My coach is Mr. Tara Tantasuwanlert.
What is your weekly training routine?
On Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, I do strength and conditioning from 7:00 to 8:00 AM, private tennis training from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and group tennis training from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. On Tuesday and Thursday, I have private tennis training from 4:00 to 5:00 PM. On Saturday, I train in group sessions from 9:00 to 11:00 AM and again from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.
What is your greatest strength as a player, and what do you need to improve?
My greatest strength is my forehand winner. I am currently working on improving my smash.
What is your age category and national ranking?
I compete in the U12 category and I am currently ranked No. 8 in Thailand.
What have been your greatest successes so far?
My greatest achievements include becoming Thailand U8 Singles Champion, Thailand U8 Doubles Champion, and representing Thailand in the U12 National Team.
In which countries have you played tournaments?
I have participated in a friendly match event in Australia.
Do you have any sponsors?
I currently receive racquet support from Babolat.
What is your goal for 2026?
My goal is to achieve the best possible ranking in the ATF U14 circuit.
What is your tennis dream?
My dream is to play in a Grand Slam one day.
Which player would you most like to meet and why?
My idol is Iga Swiatek, and I was fortunate to meet her at the Australian Open in 2026. Another player I would love to meet is Elena Rybakina because she plays so calmly and composedly during matches.
What do you enjoy doing outside of tennis?
Outside of tennis, I enjoy playing the ukulele and swimming.
