My name is Nika Shevchenko. I am 13 years old and I was born on September 22, 2012. I am Ukrainian, I live in Aarhus, Denmark, and I represent Ukraine.
What languages do you speak?
I speak Ukrainian, English, and Danish.
At what age did you start playing tennis?
I started playing tennis when I was six years old.
Are there other tennis players in your family?
No, there are no other tennis players in my family.
In which tennis club do you train?
I train at Skovbakken Tennis Club in Denmark.
What is your coaching team?
In Ukraine, my coach is Maksym Severchenko. In Denmark, I work with Mark Frøslev and Francesca Agazzi.
What is your weekly training routine?

What is your greatest strength as a player, and what do you need to improve?
My greatest strength is my backhand, and I need to improve my drop shots.

I compete in the U14 category and I am one of the 10 best Danish players in my age category.

My greatest successes include winning indoor and outdoor tournaments, finishing runner-up in doubles at the Danish National Championship, and taking third place at the Danish National Championship.

My favorite players are Aryna Sabalenka and Rafael Nadal. I really like Sabalenka’s aggressive playing style, and I love how Nadal always gives 100% in every match, as well as his incredible topspin forehand.
What do you enjoy doing outside of tennis?
Outside of tennis, I like playing football.
