My name is Nehir Karter. I am 12 years old, born in 2014. I am Turkish and I live in Istanbul, Türkiye.
What languages do you speak?
I speak Turkish, English, and a little German.
At what age did you start playing tennis?
I started playing tennis when I was 7 years old.
Are there other tennis players in your family?
Yes, my dad and my sister also play tennis recreationally.
In which tennis club do you train?
I train at Mete Tennis Club.
What is your coaching team?
My head coach is Baran Sivaslı. My conditioning coaches are Gökhan İthak and Mete Aydoğdu. My group coaches are Hakan Özmeral and Mete Coach, and my sports psychiatrist is Berçeste.
What is your weekly training routine?
During weekdays, I usually train tennis for two to three hours every day and complete conditioning sessions twice a week. On weekends, I train around six hours per day.
What is your greatest strength as a player, and what do you need to improve?
My biggest strength is my serve. I would like to improve my backhand further.
What is your junior category and national ranking?
I compete in the junior category in Türkiye, and my national ranking is around the Top 20–25.
What have been your greatest successes so far?
One of my greatest achievements was reaching the doubles semifinals at a Tennis Europe tournament. I also won three cups and one medal within two weeks.
In which countries have you played tournaments?
I have played tournaments in Türkiye, Bulgaria, and Cyprus.
Do you have any sponsors?
No, I do not currently have sponsors.
What is your goal for 2026?
My goal for 2026 is to win a Tennis Europe tournament and become part of the national team.
What is your tennis dream?
My dream is to win all the Grand Slams and be in the top 10 when I grow up.

My favorite tennis players are Jannik Sinner and Alexander Zverev.
What do you enjoy doing outside of tennis?
Outside of tennis, I enjoy playing piano, kayaking, swimming, gymnastics, surfing, and spending time with my friends and family.
