What is your name, birthdate, nationality, residence?
My name is Maryia Bialiauskaya. I was born on March 25, 2013, in Minsk, the capital of Belarus.
What languages do you speak?
I speak Russian and English fluently.
At what age did you start playing tennis?
I started playing tennis very early, at the age of three.
Are there other tennis players in your family?
Yes, we are a true tennis family. My sisters, Dasha and Katya, also play tennis professionally.
In which tennis academy do you train?
I train at Suntennis Tennis Academy and at Smena School, where Aryna Sabalenka herself once began her journey.
Who are your coaches?
My coaches have all played an important role in my journey. Zhanna Harbatkina — my very first coach, who laid the foundation and has been with me throughout my entire journey. She is the person who has known me since my first steps in tennis, believes in me, and always remains by my side as a most important support. Anna Edelkina helped develop my powerful and precise serve when I was eight or nine years old. Andrey Pekutko worked a lot on my forehand. Today, my main coach is Nikolai Fidirko, who helps me develop tactically, physically, and mentally. My dad is also a professional physical training coach and helps me build my fitness and endurance.
What is your greatest strength as a player, and what do you need to improve?
My greatest strengths are my serve, which is precise and powerful, and my endurance. I also have a very consistent backhand and a strong forehand. I do not think I have any obvious weak shots, but I work every day to make every part of my game better.
What is your age category and national ranking?
My age category is U14, but I also successfully compete in U16. In the Belarusian ranking among girls born in 2013, I am currently No. 2 in U14 and No. 1 in U16.
What have been your greatest successes so far?
I was a finalist at the Republic of Belarus U12 Championship in singles. Recently, I also played a series of European tournaments where I reached four semifinals and two finals in a row in the U14 and U16 categories.
In which countries have you played tournaments?
Thanks to tennis, I have played in many amazing places, including Belgium, Austria, Iceland, Greece, Spain, Azerbaijan, and Georgia.
What equipment brands do you currently use, and are you sponsored by any of them?
I love my Wilson rackets and Nike clothes. At the moment, I do not have any contracts, so I am open to offers and collaborations.
What is your next goal?
My immediate goal is to make a strong and successful start at ITF tournaments. Right now, all my attention and energy are focused on preparing for Les Petits As.
What is your tennis dream?
My tennis dream is to win Grand Slam trophies and continue the winning traditions of great Belarusian champions such as Aryna Sabalenka, Victoria Azarenka, and Max Mirny.
Who is your favorite player and why?
My favorite player is Aryna Sabalenka. We share a special connection through our home tennis school, Smena. I had the honor of playing with her on the same court six years ago, and in the summer of 2026 we met again when she came to open new courts at our school. I admire her not only as one of the greatest tennis players in the world, but also as an amazing person with a kind heart. She is my main motivator.
What do you enjoy doing outside of tennis?
Outside of tennis, I love staying active, rollerblading, and spending time with my friends in beautiful Minsk. I also love fashion, style, and everything related to beauty.
Who would you like to dedicate this interview to?
I would like to dedicate this interview first of all to my parents, who are my main support and the reason I can pursue my dream. I also dedicate it to my coaches, who believe in my potential, share their experience, and help me become better and stronger every day.
