What is your name, birthdate, nationality, residence?
My name is Mariia Oliinyk. I was born on July 27, 2013. I am from Kharkiv, Ukraine, but in 2022, when the war started, my family and I moved to Dénia, Spain.
What languages do you speak?
I speak five languages: Ukrainian, Spanish, Valencian, English, and Polish, and now I am learning French.
At what age did you start playing tennis?
I started playing tennis when I was five years old.
Are there other tennis players in your family?
No, I am the only tennis player in my family.

I train at the Club de Tenis Dénia.
Who are your coaches?
My principal coaches are Victoria Kutuzova, Iván Estévez, and Santi Jiménez.
What is your greatest strength as a player, and what do you need to improve?
My greatest strengths are that I fight until the last point, my will to win, and my creativity on the court. I need to improve my drop shots and my serve.
What is your age category and national ranking?
This answer was not provided.
What have been your greatest successes so far?
I was a doubles finalist at two Warriors Tours (one U12 and another U14), and a singles finalist at one Warriors Tour (U12). I was also a doubles finalist at the Campeonato de la Comunidad Valenciana Infantil (U14), Spain.

Who is your favorite player and why?
My favorite tennis player will always be Rafa Nadal. I like him because on the court he doesn’t show any negative emotions, he fights until the last point, and he plays an aggressive style of tennis, which is how I want to play.
What do you enjoy doing outside of tennis?
Outside the court, I really enjoy cooking or baking, listening to music, painting, and playing with my dog, Mikki.
