My name is Leyna Suceska. I am 12 years old and I was born on August 17, 2013. I am from Bosnia and Herzegovina, and I live in Sarajevo.
What languages do you speak?
I speak Bosnian and English.
At what age did you start playing tennis?
I started playing tennis when I was five years old.
Are there other tennis players in your family?
I do not have any other family member who plays tennis.
In which tennis club do you train?
I train at Tennis Club Bosna Sarajevo.
What is your coaching team?
My coaches are Emina Lagarija and Zlatan Kadrić.
What is your weekly training routine?
My weekly training routine includes many types of training: group training, individual training, conditioning training, training matches, and sessions to improve specific skills.
What is your greatest strength as a player, and what do you need to improve?
My greatest strengths as a player are my backhand and playing left-handed. I need to improve my serve for my height, as I am 173 cm tall.
What is your age category and ranking?
Last year, I played only half of the season and finished No. 19 in the U12 category. This year, I am playing in the higher U14 category. I am back after injury and will play the second half of the season in national tournaments.
What have been your greatest successes so far?
My greatest successes so far include winning some national U10 tournaments and earning several medals and awards.
In which countries have you played tournaments?
Because I played only in U12, I have played tournaments in Bosnia and Croatia.
Do you have any sponsors?
At the moment, I do not have any sponsors.
What is your goal for 2026?
My goal for 2026 is to be back on court, avoid serious injuries, and try to play some international junior tournaments.
What is your tennis dream?
My tennis dream is to play competitive tennis, represent a college or university, and play in Grand Slam tournaments.
Which player would you most like to meet and why?
I would like to meet Coco Gauff because I like her tennis style.
What do you enjoy doing outside of tennis?
Outside of tennis, I enjoy playing the piano and singing.
