My name is Ilia Gogichaishvili. I am 12 years old, born on November 17, 2013. I am Georgian and I live in Tbilisi, Georgia.
What languages do you speak?
I speak Georgian, English, and Italian.
At what age did you start playing tennis?
I started playing tennis when I was 7 years old.
Are there other tennis players in your family?
No, I am the only tennis player in my family.
In which tennis club do you train?
I train at Mziuri Tennis Club.
What is your coaching team?
My coach and my father are the key people guiding my tennis journey.
What is your weekly training routine?
I train tennis six days a week, including four group sessions and two individual sessions, each lasting about two and a half hours. I also go swimming twice a week.
What is your greatest strength as a player, and what do you need to improve?
My strengths are my intelligence on court, strong mentality, discipline, and technique. I need to improve my confidence, physical strength, and bravery.
What is your age category and national ranking?
I competed in the U12 category for two years, where my best ranking was No. 4 in Georgia. I have recently moved into the U14 category.
What have been your greatest successes so far?
My best achievements include reaching the quarterfinals of Tennis Europe Telavi in Georgia, qualifying for the quarterfinals at Rafa Nadal Academy TEN-PRO, and reaching the semifinals of Georgian tournaments.
In which countries have you played tournaments?
I have competed in Georgia and Spain.

Unfortunately, I do not have any sponsors yet.
What is your goal for 2026?
My goal for 2026 is to qualify for the Georgian National Team and win tournaments both in Georgia and internationally.
What is your tennis dream?
My dream is to become World No. 1 and win as many Grand Slam titles as possible.
Which players would you most like to meet and why?
I would love to meet Novak Djokovic because I believe he is the greatest player of all time, and Jannik Sinner because he is one of my biggest idols.
What do you enjoy doing outside of tennis?
Outside of tennis, I enjoy spending time with my family.
