My name is Herminia Baltanas Munoz. I am 14 years old and I was born on January 29, 2012. I am Spanish and I live in Madrid, Spain.
What languages do you speak?
I speak Spanish and English.
At what age did you start playing tennis?
I started playing tennis when I was 10 years old.
Are there other tennis players in your family?
No, there are no other tennis players in my family.
In which tennis club do you train?
My club is Universidad Europea, but I train at the Madrid Tennis Federation.
What is your coaching team?
My coach is my father, Carlos Baltanás.
What is your weekly training routine?
Three days a week (two hours of track and one physical session each day) plus matches in the finals.
What is your greatest strength as a player, and what do you need to improve?
My greatest strengths are my serve and topspin forehand. I need to improve my game vision and tactical management of points.
What is your age category and national ranking?
I compete in my second year of U14, and my national ranking is around No. 1300.
What have been your greatest successes so far?
My greatest successes include finishing runner-up in doubles at the Madrid Benjamín Championship, runner-up with my team at the Madrid Alevín Championship, runner-up at the TENISSUR Andalucía Masters, champion in Benjamín at Galapagar, champion at the 3rd Open de Andalucía Infantil, and champion of the Madrid League with my team, Universidad Europea.

I have played tournaments in Spain and Portugal.

What is your goal for 2026?
My goal is to keep improving as a tennis player and enjoy the journey.
What is your tennis dream?
My tennis dream is to play college tennis in the USA.

My favorite player is Leylah Fernandez because she has great movement, courage, self-confidence, understands her opponents well, and never gives up.
What do you enjoy doing outside of tennis?
Outside of tennis, I enjoy dancing, studying, and spending time with friends.
