My name is Fernando-Martin Travado Paredes. I am 16 years old, born on June 23, 2009, and I currently live in Villena, Spain.
What languages do you speak?
I speak Spanish, English, and a little French.
At what age did you start playing tennis?
I played tennis very casually from the age of 4, but I started training seriously for around two hours a day in 2020. That was the real beginning of my competitive journey.
Are there other tennis players in your family?
No, there are no other tennis players in my family.
In which tennis club do you train?
I train at the Juan Carlos Ferrero Academy in Villena, Spain.
What is your coaching team?
I currently train within the Juan Carlos Ferrero Academy coaching system.
What is your weekly training routine?
I wake up in the morning, have breakfast, and train from 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM. Then I rest and have lunch before training again from 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM. After that, I shower, have dinner, and focus on recovery and rest.
What is your greatest strength as a player, and what do you need to improve?
I believe I am a complete player in many aspects of the game, but I would like to improve my consistency during matches.
What is your age category and ranking?
I am currently recovering from a back injury, which affected my ranking. My highest ranking was No. 260 in Spain across all categories and No. 36 in my age category.
What have been your greatest successes so far?
I have won Marca and Warriors circuits, competed in Future and ITF tournaments (J30, J60, J100, J300), and worked as a sparring player in Challenger events, among many other experiences.
In which countries have you played tournaments?
I have played tournaments in Spain and Portugal.
Do you have any sponsors?
Not yet, but I would like to have sponsors and I am currently working toward that goal.
What is your goal for 2026?
My goals for 2026 are to break into the Top 1000 ITF rankings and be among the Top 20 players in my age category.
What is your tennis dream?
My dream is to become World No. 1.
Which player would you most like to meet and why?
I would most like to meet Jannik Sinner because I admire how calm and disciplined he is at all times, as well as his style of play.
What do you enjoy doing outside of tennis?
Outside of tennis, I enjoy sports like basketball and football. I also like playing video games with my friends sometimes.
