What is your name, birthdate, nationality, residence?
My name is David Andrei Bacliu. I was born on May 21, 2011, and I am from Romania.
What languages do you speak?
I speak two languages: English and Romanian.
At what age did you start playing tennis?
I started playing tennis when I was five years old.
Are there other tennis players in your family?
No, there are no other tennis players in my family.
In which tennis club do you train?
I train at CS Racheta Campionilor.
Who are your coaches?
My coaches are Ionut Ungureanu and Alexandru Rada. My physical trainer is Bogdan Gheorghe.
What is your greatest strength as a player, and what do you need to improve?
My greatest strength as a tennis player is my fighting spirit, and I need to improve my mental game a little bit.
What is your age category and national ranking?
I play in U16 and my national ranking is No. 10, but I have also been ranked No. 1 before.
What have been your greatest successes so far?
My greatest successes have been representing my country, Romania, and winning three Tennis Europe tournaments.
In which countries have you played tournaments?
I have played tournaments in many countries, including Romania, Moldova, Bulgaria, Germany, North Macedonia, Slovakia, and several others.
What equipment brands do you currently use, and are you sponsored by any of them?
I currently use a Head Extreme racket. For clothing and shoes, I also use Head because I am sponsored by the brand.
What is your next goal?
My next goal is to win an ITF J30 tournament.
What is your tennis dream?
My tennis dream is to win Roland-Garros and become ATP No. 1.
Who is your favorite player and why?
My favorite tennis player is Carlos Alcaraz. I like him because he is entertaining to watch, and I like that he is happy every time he plays tennis.
What do you enjoy doing outside of tennis?
Outside of tennis, I like reading and playing video games.
