My name is Clara Valente. I am 9 years old. I was born on May 8, 2016. I am Brazilian and Italian, and I live in Porto Alegre, Brazil.
What languages do you speak?
I speak Portuguese and I am learning English.
At what age did you start playing tennis?
I started playing tennis at the age of 5.
Are there other tennis players in your family?
Yes, my father plays tennis and I love playing with him.
In which tennis club do you train?
I train at Grêmio Náutico União (GNU) in Porto Alegre and also have private sessions with coach Rodrigo Ferreiro.
What is your coaching team?
My coaches are Rodrigo Silveira, Guilherme Gsjisen and Rafael Gresser at GNU. I also have a weekly class with Rodrigo Ferreiro.
What is your weekly training routine?
I train on court and do fitness three times a week at GNU, plus one private training session per week with my coach.
What is your greatest strength as a player, and what do you need to improve?
My strengths are my aggressiveness on court and my return of serve. I need to improve my serve.
What is your age category and national ranking?
I compete in the U10 category in Brazil, where there is no official national ranking.
What have been your greatest successes so far?
My biggest achievement so far is winning the doubles title at the Brasil Juniors Cup U10 in 2026.
In which countries have you played tournaments?
I have only played tournaments in Brazil, but I have also trained in Argentina at the Diaz Oliva Academy.
