My name is Agostina Bascunan Godoy. I was born in July 2016. I am Argentinian, Italian, and Chilean, and I currently live in Miami, Florida, USA.
What languages do you speak?
I speak English and Spanish.
At what age did you start playing tennis?
I started playing tennis at the age of 7.
Are there other tennis players in your family?
Yes, my dad is a tennis coach.
In which tennis club do you train?
I train at Sevilla Tennis and MTTC in Florida.
What is your coaching team?
My coaching team includes my dad and the coaches from both academies where I train in group classes.
What is your weekly training routine?
I go to the gym on Mondays, train for 2 hours daily from Tuesday to Friday, and compete in USTA tournaments on weekends.
What is your greatest strength as a player, and what do you need to improve?
My biggest strengths are my backhand and my drop shots. I need to improve my footwork and maintain a positive mindset during matches.
What is your age category and national ranking?
I am 9 years old and currently compete in the U10 Green Dot category. I will transition to yellow ball soon. Since I compete in the USA and am still under 10, I do not yet have an official ranking.
What have been your greatest successes so far?
So far, I have won 10 trophies and 8 medals. My proudest achievements include finishing runner-up at the Little Mo Regional East in April 2026 and 4th place at the Little Mo International in December 2025.
In which countries have you played tournaments?
I have competed in the United States and Croatia.
Do you have any sponsors?
I currently receive some discounts and free clothing, but I am actively looking for a major sponsorship to help support my international travel, training, and private lessons.
What is your goal for 2026?
My main goal for 2026 is to compete against top international players in Croatia and successfully transition to the yellow ball category.
What is your tennis dream?
My dream is to continue growing as an athlete and one day compete at the highest professional level on the world stage.
Which player would you most like to meet and why?
I would most like to meet Elena Rybakina, Mirra Andreeva, Roger Federer, and Novak Djokovic because they are my inspiration.
What do you enjoy doing outside of tennis?
Outside of tennis, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends.
