What is your name, birthdate, nationality, residence?
My name is Samuel Garcia Garcia. I am 13 years old and I was born on March 9, 2013. I am from Fusagasugá, Colombia.
What languages ​​do you speak?
I speak Spanish.
At what age did you start playing tennis?
I started playing tennis when I was five years old.
Are there other tennis players in your family?
I discovered tennis thanks to my uncle, who played tennis and gave me my first racket.
In which tennis club do you train?
I currently train at Club de Tenis Ciudad JardĂ­n, Orlando RodrĂ­guez Academy.
Who are your coaches?
My coach since I started tennis is Orlando RodrĂ­guez, and my fitness coach is Maikol MartĂ­nez.
What is your greatest strength as a player, and what do you need to improve?
My greatest strength is the ease I have when playing and using different shots, especially my forehand. I am working more on my backhand.
What is your age category and national ranking?
I currently play in the 14 years category, and I am ranked No. 42 in Colombia.
What have been your greatest successes so far?
I became champion of a Grade 3 tournament in Casanare, and last year I won the Interligas B tournament.
In which countries have you played tournaments?
I have played tournaments in Colombia, but I plan to extend my tour to other countries next year.
What equipment brands do you currently use (racket, string, shoes, clothing…), and are you sponsored by any of them?
I am a Wilson ambassador, and my rackets and bags are from this brand. I use Signum Pro strings, wear Leggent clothing, and Nike shoes.
What is your next goal?
My main goal right now is to reach the final of a COSAT tournament.
What is your tennis dream?
My dream is to earn a university scholarship in the United States or another country, become a professional tennis player, and win a Grand Slam.
Who is your favorite player and why?
My favorite player is Carlos Alcaraz because I like his playing style and I have followed his journey in professional tennis.
What do you enjoy doing outside of tennis?
Outside of tennis, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, playing video games, and drawing.
