Hello, introduce yourself please.

My name is Lucy Dupere. I was born on March 1, 2013. I am American. I live in Raleigh, NC.

What languages do you speak?

English.

At what age did you start playing tennis?

I stared playing tennis when I was 6 years old.

Are there other tennis players in your family?

No.

In which club do you train?

I am currently training in Florida.

Who are your coaches?

Richard Ashby & Nick Saviano and his team — John Sherwood and Daniel Ventura — Jeff Drock for fitness.

What is your weekly training routine?

Each week I do individual work, group hitting sessions, practice matches and fitness training.

What is your greatest strength as a player, and what do you need to improve?

My greatest strength is my toughness and fight. My favorite shot is my forehand down the line. I am working on my serve.

What is your age category and your national ranking?

I play 14U and I am ranked 20 in the nation and #1 in my recruiting class.

What have been your greatest successes so far?

I won the Easter Bowl (12U) in 2025 and I have 2 gold balls, 1 silver ball and 3 bronze balls. I reached #1 12U in the USA (9 months at #1 in 2025).

In which countries have you played tournaments?

USA.

Do you have any sponsors?

Yes, I am a 360 sponsored Yonex player. They sponsor my racquets and equipment and also clothes and shoes.

What is your goal for 2026?

My goal is to win a national championship in the 14U division and play my first ITF event!

What is your tennis dream?

My dream is play college tennis at UNC and win a national championship! Go HEELS! After college, I want to play pro tennis.

Who are your favorite tennis players?

My favorite players are Novak Djokovic and Iva Jovic.

What do you enjoy outside of tennis?

I love to go to the beach and traveling.

Who would you like to dedicate this interview to?

My Grandpa. He is my #1 fan.
