Hello, introduce yourself please.

My names is Lorenzo Amendola, I am 13 years old, I was born on March 13, 2012 in Lamezia Terme, Calabria, Italy.

What languages do you speak?

I speak two languages: English and Italian.

At what age did you start playing tennis?

I started playing tennis at the age of 5.

Are there other tennis players in your family?

Yes, my two sisters play tennis.

In which club do you train?

Viola Tennis & Sports.

Who are your coaches?

Fabrizio Viola and Sandro Scalese.

What is your weekly training routine?

I train 5 days a week — 3 hours a day.

What is your greatest strength as a player, and what do you need to improve?

My forehand and backhand are my best qualities, but my best shot is my one-handed backhand.

What is your age category and your national ranking?

Under-14, my national ranking is 3.3 FITP and #817 at Tennis Europe ranking.

What have been your greatest successes so far?

My greatest success was in the summer, when I won almost every tournament in Calabria.
In October, at a Tennis Europe tournament in Malta, I reached the round of 16 in singles and the quarterfinals in doubles.

In which countries have you played tournaments?

Malta, Tirana, Albania, and throughout Italy.

Do you have any sponsors?

Yes, Fivers, and then Wilson as a racket brand, but it’s not a sponsor.

What is your goal for 2026?

My goal for 2026 is to reach at least #100-150 in the Tennis Europe rankings and a FITP ranking of 2.8.

What is your tennis dream?

My dream is to win Wimbledon and become world number 1.

Who are your favorite tennis players?

Alcaraz and Federer.

What do you enjoy outside of tennis?

Padel and volleyball.
