Hello, introduce yourself please.

My name is Janet Mwape. I was born on December 6, 2010, in Kitwe, Zambia.

What languages do you speak?

I speak Bemba and English.

At what age did you start playing tennis?

I started playing tennis at age 12.

Are there other tennis players in your family?

Yes, I have a younger sister.

In which club do you train?

Nkana Tennis Club.

Who are your coaches?

I don’t take lessons. I usually train without coach.

What is your weekly training routine?

Sunday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday.

What is your greatest strength as a player, and what do you need to improve?

My strongest shot is my forehand. I would like to improve my backhand and serve.

What is your age category and your national ranking?

Second seed in the under-16 category.

What have been your greatest successes so far?

In which countries have you played tournaments?

Zambia and Botswana.

Do you have any sponsors?

No, I don’t have a sponsor.

What is your goal for 2026?

To win a CAT/ITF junior tournament.

What is your tennis dream?

My dream is to play in Grand Slams and to represent my country in the Davies Cup.

Who are your favorite tennis players?

My favorite tennis player is Aryna Sabalenka.

What do you enjoy outside of tennis?

I enjoy playing with people from different countries.
