Hello, introduce yourself please.My name is Bruno Dzhenev, I was born on November 22, 2012 in Haskovo (Grigor Dimitrov’s hometown). I am currently 13 years old.
What languages do you speak?I speak Bulgarian and English.
At what age did you start playing tennis?I started playing tennis at the age of 6.
Are there other tennis players in your family?Yes, my brother Adriano Dzhenev was ranked 13th in the ITF junior world rankings.
In which club do you train?I play at the Max Pro 2020 tennis club in Plovdiv.
Who are your coaches?Serafim Grozev is my main coach, along with Plamen Avuski. I also have a physical trainer, Desislav Gunev.
What is your weekly training routine?I play tennis for 4 hours a day, plus 1 hour of physical conditioning.
What is your greatest strength as a player, and what do you need to improve?My greatest strength is my mobility: I can reach almost any ball, and my forehand is good enough to work on the speed of my serve.
What is your age category and your national ranking?I currently play in the under-14 category and I am number 1 in Bulgaria.
What have been your greatest successes so far?I won two European tennis tournaments and reached a semi-final before the age of 16.
In which countries have you played tournaments?I have traveled to many countries, including England, Spain, Turkey, Cyprus, Romania, France, Serbia, and many others.
Do you have any sponsors?Yep! HEAD for rackets and apparel. Edge Agency supports me for almost everything except the racquets and apparel.
What is your goal for 2026?To qualify for the Monte-Carlo Masters.
What is your tennis dream?To be world number 1.
Who are your favorite tennis players?Novak Djokovic and Federer.
What do you enjoy outside of tennis?Play football and ride my bike.
Who would you like to dedicate this interview to?I want to dedicate this to my parents, who do everything they can to help me achieve my dream. Thanks also to my brother, who is always there for me.
