🌍 Lviv is a historic city in western Ukraine.
⛪ Its charming Old Town is full of Gothic, Baroque, and Renaissance architecture.
☕ The city is famous for cozy cafés, delicious chocolate, and a lively arts scene.
🌳 Lviv also has beautiful parks and squares where families can relax and enjoy the city’s friendly atmosphere.

Hello, introduce yourself please.
Hi! I’m Valeriia Oleksyn and I’m 15 years old. My date of birth is June 24, 2010.
I am from Ukraine, Lviv.
In my opinion, Lviv is one of the most beautiful cities in Ukraine. It has its nice culture, nice streets, everything is beautiful.

What languages ​​do you speak?
I speak Ukrainian and English.

At what age did you start playing tennis?
I started playing tennis when I was 7 years old.

Are there other tennis players in your family?
There aren’t any tennis players in my family, I am the first one.

In which club do you train tennis?
I train in Lviv in the Club 100.

Who is your tennis coach?
My one and only coach is Khomyk Igor. He is the best and my favourite coach.

How many hours a week do you train tennis and do physical training?
I train and play tennis about 30 hours per week.

What is your junior tennis category and your national tennis ranking?
My junior category is U16 and my national ranking is #5.

What are your best tennis results?
A year ago I took second place in the Ukrainian Championship U16. Recently I won a Tennis Europe tournament in Austria U16 category 3.

Do you have a doubles partner?
I play doubles but I don’t have one doubles partner for all the time. Every tournament I play doubles with different players.

In which countries have you already participated in tennis tournaments?
I have already played in a lot different countries: Ukraine, Poland, Slovakia, Austria, Lithuania, Estonia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Germany, Czech Republic.

Do you have any sponsors?
No, I don’t have any sponsors yet. But it’s one of my goals for now.

What is your tennis dream?
My tennis dream is to win Wimbledon and win a Gold Medal for my lovely Ukraine.

Who are your favorite tennis players?
I have some favourite tennis players. They are Elina Svitolina, Roger Federer, Carlos Alcaraz and Iga Swiatek.

What do you like to do outside of tennis?
Most of my time I play tennis because I love it so much. So I don’t have a lot of time outside of tennis. I like to spend time with my family. Between my tennis trainings I dedicate my time to studying. One of my hobbies is reading.
