⚓ It has a busy harbor where ships come and go.
🏛️ Izmir is very old, with ruins from the ancient Greeks and Romans.
🌳 The city has pretty parks, beaches, and seaside walks.
🍇 People enjoy delicious food like fresh fish, olives, and grapes.

Hello, introduce yourself please.
My name is Umay Elmas. I am 8 years old, I aws born on April 10, 2017.
I am from Izmir in Turkey.

At what age did you start playing tennis?
I started playing tennis at the age of 5.

Are there other tennis players in your family?
There is no other tennis player in my family.

In which club do you train tennis?
I train at Stars Tennis Academy in Izmir.

Who is your tennis coach?
My tennis coach is Senem Kuran.

How many hours a week do you train tennis and do physical training?
I train 5 days a week. I also do conditioning 2 days a week.

What is your junior tennis category and your national tennis ranking?
I am in the 8 years old Orange Ball category in Turkey.
At this age, there is no ranking in our country. But I’ve started training with the Green Speckled Ball.

What are your best tennis performances?
In 2025, I won the Turkey Winter Cup 1 time and Turkey Summer Cup 1 time.
Apart from that, I was the champion in 4 tournaments I participated in.

In which countries have you already participated in tennis tournaments?
Only in Turkey.

Do you have any sponsors?
I dont have any sponsor.

What tennis racket do you play with?
I play with a Wilson Ultra.

What is your tennis dream?
Winning Wimbledon is my dream.

Who are your favorite tennis players?
Sabalenka and Alcaraz are my favorite players.

What do you like to do outside of tennis?
I like swimming, playing Lego and cycling.
