Hello, introduce yourself please.
My name is Ugne Kozins. I was born on December 3, 2012, and I am from Kedainiai, Lithuania. I am a junior tennis player competing at national level.
What languages do you speak?
I speak Lithuanian, English, and a little bit of German.
At what age did you start playing tennis?
I started playing tennis when I was 5 years old.
Are there other tennis players in your family?
I am the only one in my family who plays tennis, but my cousin plays professionally.
In which club do you train?
I train at Kauno Teniso Mokykla.
Who is your coach?
My coach is Gintautas Kurkis.
What is your weekly training routine?
I train around 10 hours of tennis and about 2 hours of physical training each week.
What are your strengths and what do you need to improve?
I have good court vision and I really like my backhand. I still need to improve my serve.
What is your age category and your ranking?
I compete in the Girls U14 category and I am currently ranked No.2 in Lithuania.
What have been your greatest successes so far?
My best results so far are finishing 2nd in singles and 1st in doubles at the Lithuanian Championships, and representing the Lithuanian national team.
In which countries have you played tournaments?
So far, I have played tournaments in Lithuania and Latvia.
Do you have any sponsors?
At the moment, I do not have any sponsors, but I hope to have some in the future.
What is your goal for 2026?
My goal for 2026 is to win a Tennis Europe tournament.
What is your tennis dream?
My dream is to win a Grand Slam.
Which player would you most like to meet and why?
I would like to meet Carlos Alcaraz because I admire his playing style and his focus on the court.
What do you enjoy doing outside of tennis?
Outside of tennis, I like to spend time with my friends and sometimes play volleyball.
