My name is Takeru. I’m 13 years old from Japan, currently training in Chiba Prefecture at TTC (Yoshida Memorial Tennis Training Center).
I started when I was around 4 years old, so I’ve been playing for 9 years.
I love how tennis combines power, speed, and strategy. I also enjoy competing one-on-one.
My older brother plays tennis at university, and my sister plays in high school. My father also has experience winning an amateur doubles tournament in Tokyo.
I train about 25 to 30 hours a week, including fitness and match practice.
My academy, TTC, doesn’t allow sponsorships during the junior stage, but I hope to look for opportunities after I graduate from juniors.
I use the Babolat Pure Drive.
I train at TTC in Chiba with professional coaches and sometimes with older players in the club.
I reached the Top 8 at the U12 Nationals in Japan and have consistently ranked among the top players in the Kanto region.
I want to become a professional player and compete on the world stage.
I watch a lot of matches and analyze the top players’ techniques.
Carlos Alcaraz is my favorite male player. I admire his energy and creativity. For female players, I enjoy watching Iga Świątek and Naomi Osaka.
