Hello, introduce yourself please.
My name is Sofia Martinez Botero. I am 11 years old. I was born on September 1, 2014. I am Colombian and I live in Cali.
What languages do you speak?
I speak Spanish and English.
At what age did you start playing tennis?
I started playing tennis when I was 4 years old.
Are there other tennis players in your family?
My brother also plays in the boys’ 12-year-old category @juan.josetenis
In which club do you train?
I train at Club Campestre Farallones.
What is your equipment and physical preparation?
I use a Babolat Pure Drive racket and tennis shoes, and I complement my training with physical work using bands and functional exercises.
What is your weekly training routine?
I train from Tuesday to Saturday, with 2 hours of tennis and 1 hour of physical training.
What is your greatest strength as a player, and what do you need to improve?
My strength is my forehand, and I think I need to improve my volleys.
What is your age category and your ranking?
I play in the U12 category and I am ranked No. 35 nationally.
What have been your greatest successes so far?
My best achievements have been becoming No. 3 in Valle del Cauca and being prequalified for Interligas.
In which countries have you played tournaments?
I have only played in Colombia.

What is your goal for this year?
My goal for this year is to qualify for Interligas.

My dream is to become a professional tennis player and be world No. 1.

I like dancing, spending time with my family and friends, and traveling.
