Hello, introduce yourself please.

My name is Shivendraa Muventhiran, I am 13 years old. I was born on 20th March 2012. I am a Malaysian and I currently live in Melaka.

What languages do you speak?

I speak Chinese, English, Malay, and Tamil.

At what age did you start playing tennis?

I started playing tennis at the age of 7.

Are there other tennis players in your family?

I have a younger brother who plays 9 & under.

In which club do you train?

I don’t have a tennis club.

Who are your coaches?

I train under coach Vasuthevan since the age of 7. He has brought my game to a better level.

What is your weekly training routine?

I train everyday except Friday for 2 hours with a total of 12 hours on court and do physical training at home.

As an athlete, what is your greatest quality and what do you need to improve?

My greatest strength I would say is my mental and I am able to comeback and beat players I have lost to before and also my forehand and serve. Places I have to improve is probably my speed to balls.

What is your junior category and your national ranking?

I play under 15 and my current national ranking is 39 which I hope to improve over the next year.

What has been your greatest achievement?

My greatest achievement is winning gold at Selangor open and also runners up in a Mouratogolou tournament.

In which countries have you already played tournament?

I have only participated in Malaysia but hope to play more in other countries.

Do you have any sponsors?

I do not have any sponsors as of now.

What is your goal for 2026?

My goal for 2026 is to achieve a ranking of top 15 in Malaysia for under 15.

What is your tennis dream?

My dream is to be a top 100 ATP player and play at the highest level.

Who are your favorite tennis players?

My favorite tennis player is Novak Djokovic because he has a very strong mentality and I idolize him.

What do you like to do outside of tennis?

Outside of tennis I like to play chess and hang out with my friends.
