Hello, introduce yourself please.My name is Sara Rodríguez Salcedo, I’m 12 years old.
I’m from Colombia, born in Bogotá.What languages do you speak?I speak Spanish and English.
At what age did you start playing tennis?I started playing tennis at age 7.
Are there other tennis players in your family?I’m the only tennis player in my family.
In which club do you train?I train at Academia Nuñes.
Who are your coaches?My coaches are Carlos Nuñes and Carlos Sarmiento.
What is your weekly training routine?I train Monday through Friday, 3 hours in the morning and 3 hours in the afternoon.
As an athlete, what is your greatest quality and what do you need to improve?My greatest strength is my mentality, and I need to improve my strength a bit.
What is your junior category and your national ranking?I was ranked #5 in the 12-year-old category and currently #13 in the 14-year-old category.
What has been your greatest achievement?My biggest success so far was winning the doubles championship at the COSAT G3.
In which countries have you already played tournament?I’ve only played in tournaments in Colombia.
Do you have any sponsors?I’m sponsored by the Bogotá League and the IDRD (District Institute of Recreation and Sports).
What is your goal for 2026?My goal for 2026 is to start playing ITF tournaments.
What is your tennis dream?My tennis dream is to become a professional.
Who are your favorite tennis players?My favorite tennis players are Maria Sharapova, Arina Sabalenka, and Rafael Nadal.
What do you like to do outside of tennis?My hobbies are: dancing, cycling, skating, drawing, and playing chess.
