Hello, introduce yourself please.
My name is Roman Davydiuk. I am 11 years old and I was born on December 10, 2014. I am from Ukraine and I live in Novovolynsk.
What languages do you speak?
I speak Ukrainian, and I am actively studying English and German.
At what age did you start playing tennis?
I started playing tennis when I was 4 years old.
Are there other tennis players in your family?
Yes, my sister used to play tennis and she introduced me to the sport, but unfortunately she had to stop because of an injury.
In which club do you train?
I train at TK Challenge Novovolynsk.
Who are your coaches?
I currently work with two coaches.
What is your weekly training routine?
I train every day. My schedule includes tennis practice, physical training, pilates, and sparring sessions.
What is your greatest strength as a player, and what do you need to improve?
I am constantly working on my shot technique. I really like my forehand and my smash, and I still need to improve my serve.
What is your age category and your national ranking?
I compete in the U12 category and I am currently ranked No.4 in Ukraine.
What have been your greatest successes so far?
One of my biggest achievements so far was winning the Ukrainian Cup in the U10 category.
In which countries have you played tournaments?
So far, I have mainly competed in Ukraine. When I was 8 years old, I was invited to a world tournament at the Rafa Nadal Academy, where I was part of the Ukrainian team in the U10 category.
Do you have any sponsors?
No, I do not have any sponsors at the moment.
What is your goal for 2026?
My goal for 2026 is to win the Ukrainian U12 Championship.
What is your tennis dream?
My dream is to win Wimbledon and Roland Garros.
Who are your favorite tennis players?
My Instagram bio says “in future as Alcaraz.” I have photos with Jan-Lennard Struff and Rafael Nadal, and I also dream of meeting Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz because they are very inspiring for me.
What do you enjoy outside of tennis?
Outside of tennis, I enjoy reading books and spending time with my family.

I would like to dedicate this interview to my entire team — my parents and sister, my coaches, and my social media creator. We have already done a lot of work together, and there is still much more to come.
