Hello, introduce yourself please.

My name is Palakshi Maheshwari, I’m 9 years old.
I’m Indian and I live in Tokyo, Japan.

What languages do you speak?

English, Japanese, Hindi.

At what age did you start playing tennis?

From age 5.

Are there other tennis players in your family?

No.

In which club do you train?

Nikke Colton Tennis Garden.

Who are your coaches?

Nagasaki.

What is your weekly training routine?

Training 5 days a week and a practice match on the weekend.

As an athlete, what is your greatest quality and what do you need to improve?

I never give up and I need to improve my consistency.

What is your junior category and your national ranking?

I compete in Under-10 and I’m raked #3 in Japan.

What has been your greatest achievement?

I won 12 tournaments in just one month.

In which countries have you already played tournament?

Japan and India.

Do you have any sponsors?

No.

What is your goal for 2026?

To be among the top 3 in the next Under-12 age category.

What is your tennis dream?

To become the youngest tennis player to participate in major tournaments.

Jannik Sinner.

What do you like to do outside of tennis?

Dancing, swimming.
