Hello, introduce yourself please.

Hello, thank you for this Opportunity!
My name is Olive Nguimbis, I am 13 years old, I was born on March 23, 2012.
I am Cameroonian, and I live in Yaoundé.

What languages do you speak?

I speak French and English.

At what age did you start playing tennis?

I started playing tennis at 7 years old.

Are there other tennis players in your family?

Yes, my two older sisters, Venus Hagal and Serena Nguimbis, are tennis players and play for the Cameroonian national team, and my father is also an amateur player.

In which club do you train?

I train at the Tennis Club de Yaoundé.

Who are your coaches?

My main coach is my father, Gilbert Nguimbis.

What is your weekly training routine?

My weekly training routine includes physical, tactical, and technical training, as well as match situations and ball games.

As an athlete, what is your greatest quality and what do you need to improve?

My greatest quality is my attacking game, I’m a very offensive player. I need to improve my physical fitness.

What is your junior category and your national ranking?

I am in the Minime U14 category, and I am ranked number 1 U14 in Cameroon. My best ranking in Africa was number 9 U14.

What has been your greatest achievement?

My best success is winning several tournaments in my category outside of the country.

In which countries have you already played tournament?

I have played tournaments in Congo, Togo, Tanzania, Botswana, and Kenya.

Do you have any sponsors?

Not yet, but l’m looking for sponsors to support my tennis career.

What is your goal for 2026?

My goal for 2026 is to find sponsors who will allow me to play many tournaments abroad.

What is your tennis dream?

My tennis dream is to become a professional tennis player and win a Grand Slam tournament.

Who are your favorite tennis players?

My favorite tennis players are Coco Gauff, Naomi Osaka, Ons Jabeur, and Aryna Sabalenka.

What do you like to do outside of tennis?

I like to watch movies, spend time with my family and friends, travel, and play video games.

To which people would you like to dedicate this interview?

I would like to dedicate this interview to my family, especially my parents who support me in my tennis career, and my coach who is my father, who helps me to always improve my game.
