Hello, introduce yourself please.My name is Nina Nokova and I am 13 year old. I was born on August 20, 2012 in Sofia, Bulgaria.
What languages do you speak?I speak Bulgarian, English and French, I am studying German and Italian.
At what age did you start playing tennis?I started playing tennis when I was 3 but started playing professionally when I was 9.
Are there other tennis players in your family?Yes, my mother (Magdalena Maleeva) and my aunts (Manuela and Katerina Maleeva) used to be professional tennis players. They were 3, 4 and 6 in the WTA.
In which club do you train?I train at Maleeva Tennis Academy.
Who are your coaches?Daniel Kostov, Georgi Kupenov and my mother — Magdalena Maleeva.
What is your weekly training routine?It depends on the week. If I have a tournament or if I am in my preparation or if I am tired or not. It depends on a lot of things.
What is your greatest strength as a player, and what do you need to improve?I think my forehand in my strength and I need to improve a lot of stuff maybe my consistency.
What is your age category and your national ranking?I play U14 the most and I am #3 in my country.
What have been your greatest successes so far?I think it was playing “Les Petit As”.
In which countries have you played tournaments?I have been in a lot of different countries for tournaments.
Do you have any sponsors?No.
What is your goal for 2026?My goals for 2026 are to learn a lot of things and be the best version of myself.
What is your tennis dream?My dream is to be in the top 10 of the WTA.
Who are your favorite tennis players?My favorite players are Jannik Sinner and Coco Gauff.
What do you enjoy outside of tennis?I love to be with my friends.
