Hello, introduce yourself please.

My name is Nicolas Paumen, I am 14 years old, I was born on December 8, 2011. I am Belgian and I live in Sprimont, Liège, Belgium.

What languages do you speak?

I speak French and English

At what age did you start playing tennis?

I start playing tennis at the age of three and a half.

Are there other tennis players in your family?

My mother play tennis for fun, it’s her that make me discover this sport. I directly felt in love with the sport, since I take a racket in my hand, I never stopped playing tennis. My sister, Emma Paumen, also play tennis at a high level, we are the only two competitive players in the family.

In which club do you train?

I train at Tennissimo Tennis Club since I start playing tennis.

Who are your coaches?

My tennis coach is Cyril Monfils and I work physically in a fitness room with coaches that help me. My objective is to find sponsors to have a team with my tennis coach, a physical coach, and maybe a physio.

What is your weekly training routine?

My weekly training routine include :
• 3h30 tennis with my personnal coach
• 2h tennis with sparring partners
• 2h of strength and conditioning
• Relugar running and physical preparation

What is your greatest strength as a player, and what do you need to improve?

My explosivity on the court is my biggest strength as a player. I need to improve my ability to stay calm on the court and my tactical level.

What is your age category and your national ranking?

I compete in U16 category Tennis Europe and I’m ranking 2445 and at the national level I compete in the Men’s 1 and 2 categories and I’m ranking B- 4/6.

What have been your greatest successes so far?

My best successes so far are :
• Semi-finalist at the Masters David Goffin
• 3 titles in Men’s categories, national level
• Matches won in Tennis Europe, international level

In which countries have you played tournaments?

I played tournaments in Belgium, France and The Nederlands.

Do you have any sponsors?

I’m sponsored by Wilson, Tennissimo Tennis Club, Ligot Sport and Hope and Spirit fondation. I try to find sponsors to help me in my tennis journey and to travel more.

What is your goal for 2026?

My goals for 2026 are to win matches in ITF and be rank B-15/2 in Belgium

What is your tennis dream?

My dream is to become professional, play on the biggest courts in the world and live from the thing I prefer to do in the life.

Who are your favorite tennis players?

My idol is David Goffin.

What do you enjoy outside of tennis?

I like to travel and do YouTube videos outside of tennis.
