Hello, introduce yourself please.
My name is Myriam Torres Vargas. I was born on April 12, 2012, and I am from Yopal, Casanare, Colombia.
What languages do you speak?
I speak English and Spanish.
At what age did you start playing tennis?
I started playing tennis when I was 10 years old.
Are there other tennis players in your family?
No, I am the only one in my family who plays tennis.
In which club do you train?
I train at Club Alcaraban.
Who are your coaches?
I train with the team at Comfacasanare.
What is your weekly training routine?
I train every day with four hours of tennis and one hour of physical training.
What is your greatest strength as a player, and what do you need to improve?
My forehand is one of my strengths, and I still need to improve my backhand.
What is your age category and your national ranking?
I compete in the Girls U14 category and I am currently ranked No.56 in Colombia.
What have been your greatest successes so far?
My best results so far have been winning a G4 tournament in singles and a G3 tournament in doubles.
In which countries have you played tournaments?
So far I have only played tournaments in Colombia.

What is your goal for 2026?
My goal for 2026 is to play COSAT tournaments outside Colombia.

My dream is to reach the WTA Tour and compete for my country.

I would like to meet Rafael Nadal because he is a very disciplined player who always fights until the end of every match. He is a great example of effort and dedication in tennis.
What do you enjoy doing outside of tennis?
Outside of tennis, I enjoy learning new languages.
