Hello, introduce yourself please.

My name is Mirela Elena Oprea, I’m 16 years old, I was born on October 23, 2009.
I’m Romanian, and I live in Bucharest, Romania.

What languages do you speak?

English.

At what age did you start playing tennis?

I started playing tennis at the age of 5.

Are there other tennis players in your family?

No.

In which club do you train?

L.P.S. Mircea Eliade

Who are your coaches?

Marius Vladu.

What is your weekly training routine?

In the morning, I train from 8 to 10 a.m. for tennis, then from 10 to 11 a.m. for sports. After that, I go to school and sometimes I go back to training, depending on what time I finish classes. On weekends, I participate in tournaments.

As an athlete, what is your greatest quality and what do you need to improve?

My greatest strength is my ability to play a long match without any problems. I could improve my patience and be calmer during the game.

What is your junior category and your national ranking?

I compet in U18 and I’m ranked #87.

What has been your greatest achievement?

I’ve won doubles tournaments, which I much prefer to singles.

In which countries have you already played tournament?

I played on vacation with my sister but not in tournaments.

Do you have any sponsors?

No.

What is your goal for 2026?

Improve all aspects and reach the top 50 in the country.

What is your tennis dream?

My dream is to become a great coach and of course a good doubles player.

Who are your favorite tennis players?

Carlos Alcaraz.

What do you like to do outside of tennis?

I like to walk in the parks, to go for a run.
