Hello, introduce yourself please.
My name is Mimiko Yoneda, I’m 10 years old. I was born the 10th of September 2015.
I’m Japanese and I live in Mie in Japan.

At what age did you start playing tennis?
I first picked up a tennis racket when I was five years old in Tanzania, but at that time, I was just hitting balls with my friends while my parents played doubles with their friends. I didn’t really start learning how to play.
I started playing seriously in the tennis club in Japan in December last year 2024.

Are there other tennis players in your family?
Yes. All of family are crazy about tennis.

What is your club?
My club is the Roland Indoor Tennis Stage.

Who is your coach?
My coach is Shotaro Goto.

How many hours a week do you train tennis and do physical training?
I train 2-4 hours a day.

Do you have any sponsors?
NjOO Africa

What racket do you play with?
I play tennis with a YONEX Ezone racket.

What are your junior category, your best results so far and your national ranking?
I’m still just starting out, so I don’t have any major achievements yet, but I recently came in runner-up in the Mie prefectural qualifying round for the All Japan Junior U10 tournament.

In which countries have you ever been to play tennis?
I have experience playing in Tanzania in East Africa and in Japan.

What is your tennis dream?
I speak French and I love France and tennis.
My dream is to play at Roland-Garros someday.

Who are your favorite male and female tennis players?
I like Iga Swiatek and Carlos Alcaraz.
