Hello, introduce yourself please.
My name is Melissa Parsa, born on March 9, 2009.
I am from Iran, currently living in Cologne, Germany.

What languages ​​do you speak?
I speak Persian, German, English, and also a little Spanish and Arabic.

At what age did you start playing tennis?
I have been playing tennis for about 6 years.

Are there other tennis players in your family?
My father Hamid Parsa was a tennis coach in Iran, and my sister Melina Parsa also plays tennis.

In which club do you train tennis?
I train at Rot-Weiß Tennis Club.

Who is your tennis coach?
My coaches are Amer, Lion, and my father Hamid Parsa.

What is your weekly training routine?

  • On Mondays, I train 1 hour with my coach and 1–2 hours with my sister.
  • On Tuesdays, I train for 2 hours and do 1 hour of fitness.
  • On Wednesdays, I train for 5 hours with two groups and also do some fitness.
  • On Thursdays, I usually train with my sister.
  • On Fridays, I either play matches or hit with my sister.

What is your best shot and things you need to improve?
My forehand is strong, but I need to improve my backhand and serve.

What is your junior tennis category and your national tennis ranking?
In Iran, I was part of the national team selection and ranked #2 in U16.
In Germany, my ranking is LK 9,7, and I started competing about 6 months ago.

What are your best tennis results?
I achieved many titles in Iran and became runner-up twice in Germany.

In which countries have you already participated in tennis tournaments?
I have played in Iran and Germany.

What is the first country you dream of playing in?
My dream is to play in France (at Roland-Garros) and Spain.

Do you have any sponsors?
I don’t have any sponsors yet.

What is your tennis dream?
My tennis dream is to win many Grand Slams, especially at Roland Garros, and to hit with Nadal and meet him in person, and to achieve a good ranking in the ITF.

Who are your favorite tennis players?
My favorite players are Rafael Nadal and Carlos Alcaraz.

What do you like to do outside of tennis?
Outside of tennis, I enjoy skiing, athletics, and I used to practice gymnastics professionally.
