My name is Mateus Oliveira Ribeiro. I was born on July 19, 2014. I am Brazilian.
What languages do you speak?
Portuguese.
At what age did you start playing tennis?
I started playing tennis at the age of 10.
Are there other tennis players in your family?
My father and my uncle Caio.
In which club do you train?
Clube de Campo Umuarama TC.
What is your coaching team?
JM Coach Tennis.
What is your weekly training routine?
I train in two sessions, five times a week (on court and physical training).
What is your greatest strength as a player, and what do you need to improve?
My strength is my mentality. I can maintain concentration, intensity, and courage in pressure moments. I need to improve my serve a little.
What is your age category and ranking?
I play in the U12 category. For now, I am ranked 205th because I have only played one CBT points tournament. I will play the next one in April and I plan to improve my ranking.
What have been your greatest successes so far?
Champion at Torneios Vilela Campos against adults level B. Champion at Clube Alfenense against adults. Runner-up Sul Mineiro up to 16 years.
In which countries have you played tournaments?
Only in Brazil, in different states (Sao Paulo, Para, and Minas Gerais).
Do you have any sponsors?
I have four sponsors: Contransin, Otica Real, Master Couros, Amorim Centro Diagnostico.
What is your goal for 2026?
To break into the Top 100 national ranking.
What is your tennis dream?
To be Wimbledon champion.
Which players do you like?
Nadal and Alcaraz because they are examples of commitment and discipline, but I also like Kyrgios for his skills.
What do you enjoy doing outside of tennis?
I really like swimming and traveling with my family.
