Hello, introduce yourself please.
Hi! I’m Mariangel Ayesteran, I’m 13 years old, I was born in Caracas, Venezuela, my actual home, on October 27th of 2011.

What languages ​​do you speak?
For the moment I just know English and Spanish, but I’m thinking in learning a third one.

At what age did you start playing tennis?
I started playing tennis at 12 years old.

Are there other tennis players in your family?
My brother Diego plays too.

In which club do you train tennis?
I train in the Italian Venezuelan Center, and my academy’s name is Tennis Excelence.

Who is your tennis coach?
My coach’s name is Luis Brito.

What is your weekly training routine?
I train my physical abilities 1 hour a day; I practice my tennis 2 hours a day.

What is your junior tennis category and your national tennis ranking?
My junior category is U-16.
Right now I’m the 64th player in the national ranking, but there are some tournaments coming…

What are your best tennis results?
I entered to the round of 16 in the COSAT tournaments of Valencia and Barquisimeto.
Also I’ve won some UTR tournaments.
And last but not least I reached the final in doubles in a regional competition.

In which countries have you already participated in tennis tournaments?
I’ve only played in my country (Venezuela), but my family and I are planning to go out of the country next year.

Do you have any sponsors?
I don’t have any sponsors yet. But I’m training too hard to get one.

What racket do you play with?
Right now my raquet is a Head Boom, but we are in process of changing to another one.

What is your tennis dream?
My dream is to become a professional tennis player in the WTA, and get a scholarship out of the country.

Who are your favorite tennis players?
My favorite players are Carlos Alcaraz, Jannik Sinner, and Aryna Sabalenka… I just love watching them playing.

What do you like to do outside of tennis?
I love cooking and playing videogames with my brother and cousins.
