Hello, introduce yourself please.
Hi, my name is María Carmona, I’m 8 years old.
I live in Badajoz in Spain.

At what age did you start playing tennis?
I have been playing since I was 4 years old.

Are there other tennis players in your family?
No.

What is your club?
I don’t belong to any tennis club.

Who is your coach?
My dad.

How many hours a week do you train tennis and do physical training?
Last year I trained 7 hours a week and the plan for this coming year is 9 hours a week.

Do you have any sponsors?
I don’t have any sponsors, now that’s not important.

What racket do you play with?
I play with a Wilson racket.

What are your best results so far and your national ranking?
My category is U8.
I don’t have a ranking because I haven’t competed yet.
I only went to compete at the Smashtour international circuit. I did it in the Mixed U9 category. I became the champion.

In which countries have you ever been to play tennis?
The only tournament I have played took place in Portugal.

What is your tennis dream?
My dream in tennis is to get injured as little as possible so I can fully enjoy the process. The rest will come with effort and dedication.

Who are your favorite male and female tennis players?
My favorite male tennis player is Novak Djokovic, and in female form, without a doubt, Ashleigh Barty.
