Hello, introduce yourself please.
Hi, my name is Maria Alice Fernandes, I’m 12 years old.
I’m Brazilian and I live in Rio de Janeiro.
I started playing tennis at the age of 5 and has been training at Techset Academy since I’m 9.
In a short time, I progressed from beginner-level balls (orange and green) to the yellow ball, which allowed me to enter the competitive circuit at an early age.
After several victories in 2024, I finished the year ranked number 1 in Rio de Janeiro in the Under-12 category, even though I was only 11 years old.
As for 2025, highlights include my recent title at the Copa das Federações (GA) and runner-up finish in singles at the Brasileirão (GA+), both tournaments held in Uberlândia in July 2025.
I’m currently ranked 4th nationally by the Brazilian Tennis Confederation (CBT) in the Under-12 category. It’s also worth noting that I was recently selected to participate in the CBT National Training Camp in Itajaí – SC, an event that brought together the top six female athletes in the country.At what age did you start playing tennis?
