Hello, introduce yourself please.
My name is Manuela Vidal, but everyone calls me Manu Vidal.
I’m 12 years old, I was born on February 2013.
I’m Colombian-Venezuelan, but I compete as a Colombian player.
I live in Chía, Cundinamarca, Colombia.At what age did you start playing tennis?
I started playing tennis when I was 10 years old. At first it was just for fun, but I loved it right away!Are there other tennis players in your family?
No one else plays tennis seriously, but my parents love sports and always support me.What is your club?
I train at Castiblanco Tennis Academy.Who is your coach?
My coach is Karen Castiblanco – She’s amazing and always pushes me to improve!How many hours a week do you train tennis and do physical training?
I train about 12 to 15 hours a week between tennis and fitness.Do you pay attention to your diet, food and drink?
Yes. I try to eat healthy meals, drink a lot of water, and stay away from sugary drinks or junk food, especially during tournaments.What is your junior category, what is your national ranking, what are your best results?
Right now I compete in Under-14, and I’m ranked top 75 in Colombia.
My best ranking in Under-12 was #25 in the country.What are your best performances?
Multiple titles in singles and doubles (Grades 4 and 5)
This year I finished 5th place in the Interligas National Tournament playing in the Main draw.Do you have any sponsors?

I play with a Wilson Ultra 100 V5. I love how it feels for control and power.In which countries have you ever been to play tennis?
So far, I’ve played in Colombia, and had the brief opportunity of training in the Netherlands but I’m preparing for international tournaments soon.What is your tennis dream?
My dream is to represent my country in international competitions, become a professional player or earn a university scholarship in the United States.Who are your favorite tennis players?
My favorite female players are Iga Swiatek and Serena Williams. I like how smart and strong they are. From the men, I like Carlos Alcaraz because he fights for every point and has fun on the court.Thank you for the opportunity.
