Hello, introduce yourself please.
My name is Manuela Gómez, I am 15 years old, I was born on October 25, 2010, in Colombia, and I live in Bucaramanga.What languages do you speak?
I speak Spanish and English.At what age did you start playing tennis?
I started playing tennis at 8 years old.Are there other tennis players in your family?
No, I am the first in my family to play tennis.At which club do you train?
I train at Tennis Pro Academy.Who are your coaches?
My coaches are Fabián Bohórquez and Jhon Carvajal.What is your weekly training routine?
I train every day from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., and on weekends from 7:00 to 9:00 a.m.As an athlete, what is your greatest quality and what do you need to improve?
I’m a very determined player; I never give up no matter how the match is going.
I’d like to improve my emotional control in crucial moments and continue strengthening my physique.What is your junior category and your national ranking?
I play in the U18 junior women’s category and I’m currently ranked 160th nationally.What has been your greatest success?
My greatest achievement so far has been reaching the quarterfinals in G3 tournaments and continuing to climb the national rankings.In which countries have you already played tournaments?
Only in Colombia, but I’ve played with girls from other countries on the COSAT circuit here.Do you have sponsors?
I don’t have any sponsors at the moment, but I would love to have support to continue growing in my sports career.What is your goal for 2026?
My goal for 2026 is to enter the national top 40 and win G3 and G2 tournaments.What is your tennis dream?
My dream is to be number 1 in the world and represent Colombia in the most important tournaments.Who would you like to dedicate this interview to?
I dedicate this interview to my doubles partner, with whom I share great moments on and off the court.Who are your favorite tennis players?
My favorite player is Aryna Sabalenka. I love her strength and attitude on the court.What do you like to do besides tennis?
