Hello, introduce yourself please.

My name is Lina Bezza. I am 16 years old, born on October 12, 2009.
I am Moroccan and currently live in Montreal, Canada.

What languages do you speak?

I speak Arabic, French, and English.

At what age did you start playing tennis?

I started playing tennis when I was 3 years old.

Are there other tennis players in your family?

Yes, tennis runs in my family. My grandfather, my aunt, and my uncle all played tennis.

In which club do you train?

In Canada, I train at Sani Sport. In Morocco, I train at ASAS Tennis Club (Casablanca).

Who are your coaches?
  • My head coach is Walid Mountassir.
  • My fitness coaches are Melanie Demers and Imad Guiro.
  • My mental coach is Gilles Taraquois.
  • My physiotherapists are Julia Steeves and Khadija Aboutaib.
What is your weekly training routine?

Every day, I train two hours in a private session with my coach in the morning. In the afternoon, I practice two hours in a group session, followed by one hour of fitness training.

What is your greatest strength as a player, and what do you need to improve?

My greatest strength is my perseverance and fighting spirit. I am constantly working on managing stress better during important matches.

What is your age category and your national ranking?

My best ranking in Canada is No. 3, and in Morocco I have been ranked No. 1 in the U18 category.

What have been your greatest successes so far?

My biggest achievement so far is becoming African Champion U18 (J200) in both singles and doubles at the age of 15.

In which countries have you played tournaments?

I have competed in Morocco, Canada, Egypt, Algeria, Tunisia, Chile, the Czech Republic, Kenya, and Togo.

Do you have any sponsors?

Yes, I am sponsored by Dunlop.

What is your goal for 2026?

My goal is to earn a WTA ranking.

What is your tennis dream?

My dream is to break the women’s Grand Slam record currently held by Serena Williams.

Who are your favorite tennis players?

My favorite players are Aryna Sabalenka and Novak Djokovic.

What do you enjoy outside of tennis?

Outside of tennis, I enjoy playing soccer with my brother.
