Hello, introduce yourself please.
My name is Leonardo Mayz, I’m 15 years old, and I was born on April 22, 2010.
I’m Venezuelan and live in Guatire, Miranda.

What languages ​​do you speak?
Spanish and English

At what age did you start playing tennis?
7 years old

Are there other tennis players in your family?
There are no other tennis players in my family.

In which club do you train tennis?
I train at Tennis Excellence.

Who is your tennis coach?
Luis Brito, Charlie Estanga, Lenin Meléndez, and Efraín Meléndez.

What is your weekly training routine?
I train Monday through Friday, from 5-6 pm for physical training and from 6-8 pm for tennis.
On Saturdays, I train in the morning from 10 am to 1 pm.

As an athlete, what is your greatest quality and what do you need to improve?
My greatest strength is discipline and commitment.
What I need to improve is my impatience to get better results.

What is your junior tennis category and your national tennis ranking?
First year in the Under-16 category and my national ranking is top 79.

What has been your greatest achievement?
Finalist in the B draw at the FVT.

In which countries have you already participated in tennis tournaments?
Venezuela

Do you have any sponsors?
I don’t have one.

What is your goal for 2026?
Being able to enter the main draw of a G1 tournament, win a G2 tournament, and reach the top 40 in the country.

What is your tennis dream?
Being the number 1 player in the world and winning all the Grand Slams.

Who are your favorite tennis players?
My favorite tennis players are Jannik Sinner and Taylor Fritz.

What do you like to do outside of tennis?
I like listening to music and playing video games.
