Hello, introduce yourself please.
My name is Leila Iliasova. I am 15 years old and I was born on March 9, 2011. I live in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.
What languages do you speak?
I speak Kyrgyz, Russian, and English.
At what age did you start playing tennis?
I started playing tennis when I was 6 years old.
Are there other tennis players in your family?
Yes, my sister and my brother also play tennis.
In which club do you train?
I currently do not train at a specific club. We rent courts for training.
Who are your coaches?
My coaching team includes my coach Farhad Rustamovich, as well as my mom and dad.
What is your weekly training routine?
I train twice a day, morning and evening, six days a week. Friday is my game day, when I spend three to four hours on court practicing match play and sparring.
What is your greatest strength as a player, and what do you need to improve?
My strengths are my serve and my forehand. I need to improve my movement around the court.
What is your age category and your national ranking?
I compete in the U16 category and I am currently ranked No.4 nationally in Kyrgyzstan.
What have been your greatest successes so far?
My main achievements include representing the national team and winning local tournaments.
In which countries have you played tournaments?
I have competed in Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, and Bahrain.
Do you have any sponsors?
No, I do not have any sponsors at the moment.
What is your goal for 2026?
My goal is to achieve a strong ITF ranking and compete in as many international tournaments as possible.
What is your tennis dream?
My dream is to become a professional tennis player, open my own academy, and help bring ATP and WTA tournaments to my country. I would also love to train at the Rafael Nadal Academy and achieve my best results. I’m also left-handed, like him.
Which player would you most like to meet and why?
I would most like to meet Elena Rybakina because she is my role model. I admire her playing style and her calmness on court.
What do you enjoy doing outside of tennis?
Outside of tennis, I enjoy drawing, reading, and spending time outdoors.
