Hello, introduce yourself please.
My name is Laila Trueb. I am 16 years old and I was born on March 14, 2010. I am from Switzerland and I currently live in Villena, Alicante, in Spain where I train at the Ferrero Academy. I am a junior tennis player transitioning from U16 to U18 competition.
What languages do you speak?
I speak English and German, and I am currently learning Spanish.
At what age did you start playing tennis?
I started playing tennis at the age of 5. At first it was just a hobby, but as I got older I decided to take it more seriously and pursue it professionally.
Are there other tennis players in your family?
Yes, my whole family plays tennis, but only for fun.
In which club do you train?
I train at the Ferrero Academy in Villena, Spain.
What is your coaching team?
My team includes my tennis coaches, a fitness coach, physiotherapists, a mental coach, and a nutritionist.

I train twice a day on court and do fitness twice a day. On Wednesdays and Saturdays, I only train in the morning and rest in the afternoon. On Wednesdays, I also focus on recovery work such as stretching, rolling, or sometimes yoga.
What is your greatest strength as a player, and what do you need to improve?
My biggest strengths are my forehand and my mental strength. I like to dominate with my forehand and play aggressively. I also stay strong mentally in close matches. I want to improve my serve and get more out of it through more focused practice.
What is your category and your ranking?
I previously competed in the U16 category and I am now moving into U18. My Swiss ranking was R2, but since I am no longer competing in Switzerland, my ranking is not currently updated.
