Hello, introduce yourself please.
My name is Kirill Rata. I was born on July 18, 2014. I am 11 years old and I live in Oswego, Illinois, USA.
What languages do you speak?
I speak English and Russian.
At what age did you start playing tennis?
I started playing tennis when I was 7 years old.
Are there other tennis players in your family?
Yes, my younger brothers also play tennis, so tennis is a big part of our family life.
In which club do you train?
I train at Eola Tennis Academy in Illinois.
Who are your coaches?
My coaches are John Mittvick and Vlad Kotelnykov.
What is your weekly training routine?
I train about five to six days a week. My training includes tennis practice, match play, and fitness work to improve my speed, strength, and endurance.
What is your greatest strength as a player, and what do you need to improve?
My biggest strength is my backhand and my competitive mindset. I always try to fight for every point and stay focused during matches. I continue working on improving my serve and becoming stronger physically.
What is your age category and your national ranking?
I compete in the Boys 12 category in the United States, and I am currently ranked inside the Top 50 nationally in the 12-and-under category.
What have been your greatest successes so far?
One of my biggest achievements so far is becoming the 2024 Little Mo National Champion, which was a very special moment for me.

So far I have played tournaments in the United States, and I hope to compete internationally in the future.

I would most like to meet Novak Djokovic because he is one of the greatest tennis players in history. I admire his mentality, discipline, and how he fights for every point no matter the situation.
What do you enjoy doing outside of tennis?
Outside of tennis, I enjoy spending time with my family, staying active, and playing other sports.
